We often get asked, what does YSI stand for? Well, YSI stands for Yellow Springs Instruments as a homage to our location in Yellow Springs, Ohio.

YSI also offers Life Sciences products including biochemical analyzers for bioprocess monitoring, food and beverage processing, and sports physiology. This line began with the YSI blood-gas analyzer in the 1950s and is presently the industry “gold standard” for glucose and lactate measurement.
