The IDS sensors are designed for simplicity, accuracy, and flexibility. Each sensor automatically stores its unique serial number and calibration data while digitally processing the measurement signal. This allows sensors to be moved from one instrument to another without losing calibration information, ensuring consistent, reliable results across devices.
Plug-and-Play Simplicity: IDS sensors store calibration data and automatically transfer it between instruments, saving setup time and reducing errors.
Reliable & Accurate: 4-electrode design with digital signal processing ensures stable, interference-free measurements across a wide conductivity range.
Flexible Integration: Fully compatible with the YSI MultiLab platform (wired and wireless) and the YSI Water Monitoring Panel for seamless lab and field use.
Calibration
The 4310W probe can only be calibrated with a 1,413 µS/cm conductivity standard (060906). Please select this option in the dropdown menu when ordering.
Wireless Functionality
Wireless MultiLab probes require a WA-S wireless sensor module (not included). Each wireless sensor must have a WA-S module installed, and each MultiLab meter must be equipped with a WA-M wireless meter module.
For convenience, we recommend the MultiLab WA Kit, which includes:
- One WA-S wireless sensor module
- One WA-M wireless meter module
- One WA-S module charger
- One USB power supply for the charger
Wireless sensors are compatible with the MultiLab 4010-1W, 4010-2W, and 4010-3W models. They may also be used with the MultiLab 4010-1 provided the latest firmware is installed (see the Software and Firmware Downloads page).
Platform Compatibility
- MultiLab Platform: IDS sensors are fully compatible with the YSI MultiLab benchtop meters, providing both wired and wireless measurement options. Whether used in the lab or the field, sensors deliver consistent results and enhanced data integrity.
- YSI Water Monitoring Panel (WMP): IDS sensors integrate seamlessly with the YSI WMP, enabling plug-and-play connectivity for continuous water quality monitoring in clean water, wastewater, and industrial applications. Calibration data transfers automatically, allowing for simplified maintenance and reduced downtime.
